Saddleback 2004 Pinot Noir
- Cromwell Basin and Wairau Valley
TASTING NOTE:A classic Pinot Noir predominantly from Central Otago with an influence of premium Marlborough fruit. All the fruit was hand harvested. The Central Otago fruit comes from the Cromwell basin and the Gibbston areas. The Marlborough comes from the Wairau Valley. Similar in style to the hugely popular 2003 vintage.
It was made traditionally and aged in French oak (30% new) for 10 months. This wine exudes aromas of violets, red berry fruit, and leathery spice, all with a vibrant fruity mouth feel and a long warm finish.
Drinking well now, this wine will cellar nicely for up to 5 years
